Scope

LACAME 2026 will cover a broad range of fundamental and applied research topics related to the Mössbauer Effect and its associated experimental and theoretical techniques. The conference aims to provide a platform for discussing recent advances, emerging methodologies, and interdisciplinary applications across physics, chemistry, materials science, geosciences, and related fields.
The scientific programme will include contributions in the following thematic areas:

T01 – Magnetism and Solid-State Physics
Magnetic ordering phenomena, hyperfine interactions, electronic structure, strongly correlated systems, and fundamental aspects of condensed matter physics.
T02 – Thin Films and Nanostructures
Low-dimensional systems, nanoparticles, multilayers, interfaces, and size-dependent effects in nanostructured materials.
T03 – Materials Science and Industrial Applications
Functional materials, alloys, steels, energy-related materials, catalysis, corrosion, and technological applications of Mössbauer spectroscopy.
T04 – Biological and Medical Applications
Iron-containing biomolecules, ferritin, heme proteins, pharmaceutical compounds, and biomedical-related materials.
T05 – Earth Science and Mineralogy
Mineral characterization, planetary materials, geochemistry, environmental applications, and studies of natural and synthetic minerals.
T06 – Cultural Heritage
Characterization of archaeological materials, pigments, ceramics, and conservation science applications.
T07 – Coherent Phenomena
Nuclear Forward Scattering (NFS), synchrotron-based techniques, time-domain Mössbauer spectroscopy, and coherent nuclear resonant scattering.
T08 – Lattice Dynamics and Vibrational Properties
Phonon-related phenomena, recoil-free fraction studies, temperature-dependent effects, and vibrational spectroscopy correlations.
T09 – Experimental Techniques, Methodology, and Non-Conventional Isotopes
Instrumentation developments, advanced data analysis, new source and detector technologies, synchrotron radiation applications, and studies involving non-¹⁵⁷Fe isotopes.
